But our products that will serve you for many years, will inevitably consume the energy required to keep your products crispy and fresh. In fact, you could say our cooling cabinets help preserving your products and therefore contribute to the waste and energy reduction efforts you yourself are committed to.

Without compromising the unique seduction and selling power of our impulse refrigerated displays, we offer on almost our entire range of products, an option. The option to extend our Coolsave® concept to the shopfloor. Sometimes by your choice, sometimes imposed by shop regulations.

Responsible production involves the production of goods and services an ethical way which involves the minimisation of waste and pollution. AFM emphasizes not only on creating the maximum profit from resources available, but makes great efforts as well in looking after the environment in a responsible way. When creating, developing, manufacturing and servicing our display coolers, we take a range of issues on board, including:

1. Health and safety are paramount.
2. Minimising the use of inputs relative to the outputs that are produced from them.
3. Cutting down on waste and implement waste separation systems.
4. Making sure that harmful emissions and pollution do not result from production activities.

Being a responsible producer involves making sure that resources are employed in the most efficient and safest ways possible. Responsible producers respect the environment and create as little waste as possible.

Some examples of our continous efforts in production:

• Using wood products supplied by companies committed to forest preservation
• Buying (plastic) componens that are fully recyclable
• Maximising local sourcing to avoid unnecesary transport
• Implementation of waste separation systems for better recycling
• Automated gas injection and controlled extraction (cooling unit)
• Re-usable wooden transportcases
• Exceeding current legal standards for cooling devices

AFM wants to be part of the solution! What can you do?!

• Fill up the cooling cabinet as much as possible with your product to avoid unnecessary energy cooling 'nothing'. Switch off when not in use.
• Following AFM's maintainance guidelines keeps energy bill low and prolongs lifetime of your cooling cabinet.
• Switch of illumination and pull nightcurtain or lid down (if applicable) when closing shop.
• Position your cabinet as wisely as possible to avoid unnecessary air-drafts disturbing the working conditions (i.e. air-conditioning, air blowers, near heat sources…).
• If possible, keep original factory packaging for future movements.
• Consider reconditioning
